First Moving Trip!

This past weekend we took our first of two loads of stuff to Drew's parent's lake house to store it there for two years (BIG thank you to them for letting us store it there!).  It was quite the eventful trip! First, we drove 6 and a half hours to the lake in a huge thunderstorm with really bad visibility while pulling a U-Haul trailer behind our SUV.  Then we encountered the problem of the very steep hill driveway up to the lake house....needless to say, after we made it 1/3 of the way up the driveway only to roll backwards down the driveway, Christina and Humphrey got out of the car and walked up the driveway while Drew and Drew's dad worked on getting the car up the hill.  The hill driveway was too slick with pine needles and rain from the storms, however, so the guys put rocks behind the tires of the SUV and left it there for the night.  The next morning, the guys worked on getting the SUV and the trailer up the driveway.

This is what happened...

Drew's dad had to pull our SUV and trailer up the hill with his truck! But we made it and were able to move everything without any other problems...

Except for Humphrey.  He caused quite a few problems during this moving trip - escaping out of the lake house and running down the big hill, chasing after deer in the backyard, and even tunneling his way under the fence in the backyard and losing his collar because he got the collar tags stuck in the fence.  Here is the little rascal on the way back to Tulsa - don't be fooled by his seemingly calm and innocent face! :)
